•About mid-way through the completion of this project, we were saddened to hear of the death of one of the songwriters in the North End Artists Collective.  Charlie Had been a friend in our community since we first arrived in Winnipeg.  When we met him, Charlie was living most of his life on the streets of the North End.  Charlie’s addictions were the kind that are harder to hide than yours and mine.  But his faith shone through in his desire to return again and again to the Father, knowing that his weakness was not too big an issue for this God who loves him.
•Listen to Charlie’s song, Follow.  I can hear him telling us to not give up through all the struggles.  And I can hear him rejoice in the truth that everything is going to be alright on the other side, when the love of Jesus heals him fully.
•So can a guy who dies on a wooden palette in a lonely back alley in the North End really know Jesus?  Yes, he can; Charlie leaves me with no doubt.
